Our mission is simple: “Inspire to treasure our natural and historic heritage at the Escambrón Marine Park”. Welcome to our historic national park! For over 400 years, this beautiful beach was the center stage of battles fought from the Escambrón Battery to protect the city of San Juan from attacks mainly coming from European easterners seeking for land in the new world. Political changes, time and space have transformed these military lands into an amazingly beautiful, national park worthy of your visit. Some of the attractions include the Sixto Escobar Coliseum, eco-label “Bandera Azul” certified beach, and the underwater “Fish Protection Wall” loaded with schools of yellowtail snappers, blue tangs, sergeant majors and yes, a couple of turtles happy to make your acquaintance. Please share with us any questions or concerns you may have, we welcome the opportunity to assist you.
